“ Always enjoy a trip to the Charger House. Love their fish. My friend ordered the Chicken Strips and they were huge - both dishes had enough food for 2 people. Our service was attentive and friendly. Old diner ambiance. ”
“ This is the place to go for fish. I had their meat lovers omelette today and was happily surprised by the quality knife cuts. All of the meats inside were a brunoise cut. That's 1/4inch by 1/4 inch. Made the whole thing easier to eat. The biscuits and gravy were lacking. Canned gravy thin biscuits. The restaurant is clean as was the restroom. The employees are always prompt and courteous. This is a good place to go. Eat the fish. ”
“ Who knew?! Such a humble little place in a humble little town. But the food and service were great! We had fish, fries and coleslaw. All were 8 out of 10 in my book. My husband says they serve his favorite fried fish of all time. They're cornmeal breaded (I think). I prefer beer-battered. You will NOT go away hungry. The portions are huge. The atmosphere is typical northern Indiana. IYKYK ”
“ Throwback restaurant that has stayed true to its roots, the Charger House is kind of a one trick pony, but what a beautiful pony. They do fried fish very well, actually they do it great. They make their own tartar sauce and it's delicious, they perfect companion to the fish and French fries. I love this place. ”
“ So good if you're looking for diner food. Get the fried fish, made fresh with their own batter ”
